Arnaud Dolmen, drummer, composer, producer, is one of the most acclaimed artists on the jazz scene. His distinctions include Revelation at the Victoires du Jazz, finalist of the Django Reinhardt Prize 2023, “French musician of the year”, “Top 3 best drummers of the year” by Jazz Magazine and Jazz News.

Native of Guadeloupe, after his critically acclaimed albums, “Tonbé Lévé” (2017), “Adjusting” (2022), Arnaud is releasing a new album “LéNo”, a piano/drums duo with the brilliant pianist, Leonardo Montana.

As young musician, he collaborates with different artists, in various musical styles such as Joe Chambers, David Linx, Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Mario Canonge, Naïssam Jalal, Alfredo Rodriguez, Ana Carla Maza and Laurent de Wilde. This visionary also composes film music and regularly participates in educational projects.

Based in Paris, Arnaud brings his gwoka and jazz background in his unique play while traveling the globe.

About the new album "Adjusting Quartet"

“With this second album, Arnaud Dolmen reveals more of himself, both as a composer of new sounds and colors with a unique style and as a master of free-form techniques within a deeply jazz-inspired aesthetic.

His open, unbound playing style is fundamentally jazz and boldly claims this identity. It embraces experimental elements yet maintains a subtle traditional line that allows it to seamlessly merge with diverse, elusive genres. Dolmen's artistry lies in the intersections and weaving of sounds, creating shifting yet complementary impressions and images.

Drawing from a rich tapestry of musical influences and his deep Gwoka heritage, these compositions bring together unexpected musical encounters, all anchored by jazz. Despite their density, the compositions maintain a lightness in performance, showcasing Dolmen’s maturity. A defining feature of this album is the layering and juxtaposition of sounds without mere repetition. The dual saxophone likely plays a role in this, with rhythmic nuances establishing a distinctive tone. The overall sound resonates with an impeccable finesse and vibrancy.” Sylvie Arnaud
