Monolithic Theatre is running its 2025 season of works at Ladbroke Hall. Experience an evening where photography meets performance in a series of compelling 15-minute monologues. Each piece in Four Sight reimagines powerful visual works through voice, movement, music, and projection, bringing still images to life.
Six powerful visual works are reimagined by six teams of writers, directors, and performers. The result is a compelling series of 15 minute interdisciplinary monologues that breathe life into still images through voice, movement, music, and projection.
Four Sight opens with a powerful original piece that pays tribute to the life and influence of Gordon Parks — the legendary photographer, filmmaker, and storyteller who used his lens to challenge injustice and illuminate the Black experience.
This piece will combine a selection of Gordon Parks’ photography with a powerful spoken performance, featuring an extract from James Baldwin’s The Fire Next Time. Directed by Justin Marosa, the performance will be a sensory experience that blends projected imagery, music, and voice. This tribute acts as the emotional and thematic foundation of the Four Sight showcase. Just as Gordon Parks’ camera captured truth with compassion, the rest of the evening will feature performances inspired by contemporary photographers whose work also documents identity, struggle, and celebration.
Together, these works form a living exhibition of storytelling expanding into a celebration of contemporary visual culture and performance.
