Pianist and composer Nick Ramm leads a heavyweight ensemble bringing bold new music shaped by post-bop, modern jazz, and the global grooves that have defined his sound. Ramm’s career has seen him tour and record with The Cinematic Orchestra (Live at the Royal Albert Hall), Mulatu Astatke, and Matthew Herbert, while also playing live with everyone from Sir Tom Jones to Adele.
With a sound that folds in Cuban, Ghanaian and Brazilian rhythms alongside freer, more minimal textures, Ramm’s music is expansive but rooted — melodic, percussive, and full of momentum.
