In a world of fragile alliances and rising tensions, what can history teach us about leadership, power, and global cooperation in crisis?

In this special evening hosted in the iconic Sunbeam Theatre, best-selling historian Tim Bouverie and renowned political journalist Tim Shipman revisit the precarious diplomacy of WWII — and its resonance in our own time.

Based on Bouverie’s new book Allies at War, the conversation will explore the complex relationship between Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin — three men with clashing visions held together by necessity. What were the risks they took? What were the costs? And how might those lessons guide us through today’s geopolitical landscape?

Held in partnership with Geista cultural forum with a focus on staging live talks. Geist aims to champion a new generation of public intellectuals, alongside more established figures.
